Your customers no longer just type keywords into a search box. They ask full questions, in their own words, to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and the rest. In LunaLift each of those questions is a prompt, and tracking prompts is how you find out whether the answer includes you and how it frames you.

A keyword was a short string you tried to rank a page for. A prompt is a natural-language question with intent behind it, and there is no ranked list to place in, only one synthesised answer. So instead of a position, you track the answer itself over time: which companies it mentions and how, whether that is you or your competitors, and which sources the model cited to get there. Because every model answers a little differently and changes from week to week, LunaLift runs each prompt across the major LLMs on a schedule rather than checking once.

That turns a moving target into something you can measure and act on. LunaLift pulls visibility, sentiment, and citations out of every answer, shows you the prompts where you are gaining or losing ground, and ties each prompt to the parts of your brand it represents. From there you know what to optimise and what content to create, which the rest of this page walks through.

Tracked Prompts Table

After onboarding, you'll come to this view of the Prompts page where you'll see your starting prompts that will be tracked on a regularly basis.

Under the Metrics column you'll see a eye icon and face icon. Here we provide a summary of your visibility and sentiment scores for the prompt if the results are there. If you have no visibility or sentiment from the prompt answer, the icons will be greyed out. We show the gain and loss per prompt, so you can see exactly which prompts you are gaining or losing visibility and sentiment.

Discovered prompts that ask directly about your company will automatically have 'Visibility' toggled off. This is so we do not receive bias visibility scores for your company.

The tags under each prompt show what the prompt represents for your brand (like a keyword taxonomy) and correlate directly with those specific sub-scores on the AEO Overview.

Tracked prompt preferences

All prompts can be selected by clicking on the box in the left hand corner of the prompts table. Prompts can also be selected individually.

Use the filters to select/view prompts according to status, segment, offering, location, value proposition, buying stage, customer type, visibility tracking and sentiment tracking.

Set your prompt schedule

Under the Schedule column, you can click each LLM logo on/off if you would like to track or not track answers from specific LLM providers. We automatically offer tracking for 6 of the main global LLMs; ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, DeepSeek and Meta (Llama). Underneath the logos, you can set each prompt execution schedule per individual prompt. Alternatively, you can select all the prompts and set the schedule for all prompts at once to the same frequency.

Your Last and Next prompt execution dates will also be noted here for quick reference.

Make edits to prompt wording

To edit prompts you have two options: individually or with search & replace. This is useful if a keyword from your offerings or company changes over time, for example.

Individually: Click on the actual prompt question, or the pen icon next to the prompt, to bring up the form attached to the prompt. Here you can edit the wording and tags. The tags represent what you would like to track in regards to that prompt. So you can tags about your market segment, offerings and customer etc, even if that is not directly mentioned in the prompt itself.

Search & replace: Use the search bar, filters or select all box to select the prompt you would like to edit and use the search and replace option to instantly swap out the word(s) that better align with what you would like to track.

Adding custom prompts

Individually or via upload (uploads coming soon).

Add a custom prompt by clicking 'New Prompt' in the top right hand corner. This will bring up a new form for your custom prompt. Enter the prompt in the text box, check if it's appropriate for visibility or sentiment tracking (or both), set the execution schedule and attach any tags for tracking sub scores. You can leave any tags as 'none' if they are not appropriate.

Your new prompt will be added to the top of your prompt library and you will see the answers being 'Analyzed'. The LLM answers should arrive within a few seconds, so be sure to click 'Show Responses'.

In worst case, some LLMs may take a couple of minutes to present the answer. Refresh the page or come back to the answer in a few minutes. If any LLMs show no response, do contact us if the issue persists.

What next: how to act on tracked prompt results

Tracking tells you where you stand. The point is what you do with it. Your prompt results feed two ongoing moves in LunaLift: create content that earns the answer, and fix the content you already have.

Create content that earns the answer

As you track prompts and watch how you and your competitors move, LunaLift suggests content strategies aimed at the gaps worth winning. You approve or refine each one, then author premium, genuinely useful content: the highest value you can offer your customers and the AI engines answering them alike. Say what you do best, in your own authentic voice, in a structure that is easy for both people and machines to follow. LunaLift is built to make that easy and hard to get wrong, and to fit each opportunity into your existing site structure and communication strategy rather than bolting on content that does not belong.

Fix what you already have

The other half is making sure your existing content reaches its full potential. LunaLift's ongoing website audit surfaces the issues holding it back, and helps you act on them with as little friction as possible: human and agent working together, approval gates before anything ships, and direct integration with the major CMS platforms, including WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, and Sanity.
